What does hypnosis feel like?
There are many levels of hypnotic trance. Trance is a natural state that we move in and out of throughout the day. It happens when we “go inside our self” and feel and drift from our immediate activity. We do it driving, reading a book, in a deep conversation and so many everyday activities.
Sometimes we don’t feel any different than normal, other times it may feel like a light daydream and at other times in deep trance it can be likened to sleep but it is not actually sleep.
One of the great benefits of hypnotic trance is the “sleep” restoration effect that is felt on returning to the present after a session. This alone is a great reason for anyone to learn how to enjoy self hypnosis.
